Been some time since the last time I posted. Sorry for the delay *again* :")
So in this post, I would like to highlight my newfound cafe in Surabaya called.. *drumroll* GOODSTONE!

Actually this cafe has already existing for quite a while I guess, but since I was living in a cave a.k.a too busy with my self (i don't have a clue what I've done so far), hence only just now I've got the chance to try out this cafe.

This cafe is located in Jl. Opak no. 52, Wonokromo, Surabaya. You can search it easily using GoogleMaps (everybody's best friend of course). I actually forgot to capture the view of the cafe from the outside, but I can show you how instagrammable the inside interior was like.

Every corner of the cafe was filled with artistic touch. You can definitely make yourself some great instagram feed or stories with it. Just make sure you have your personal photographer or a kind-enough-friend to capture yourself multiple times or you can even ask the friendly waitresses for taking your group pictures. Even the first time you stepped in that cafe, your first view can also be used for a great photo corner. Great isn't it?



One of the prettiest part of this cafe is this corner, particularly that painted with floral, birds, and feels so tropical with the touch of cute pillows to compliment the view. Actually, this view was the first thing that triggered my selfie soul that had been buried for some time.

Even though I've highlighted the instagrammable spots for sometime in this post, in reality the cafe itself was a really cozy place to hangout. The tables were arranged cleanly, and you can walk easily between those tables. As we're talking about a cafe, of course the most necessary topic is definitely about the foods!

This cafe is one of the typical place that serves western palate for their menu. The price range was about 70k - 170k for their main course, and around 40k - 70k for their salad and dessert. So, without further ado, here are the food review that we tried out!

This menu consists of tender chicken battered with flour and deep fried in oil that created a crispy texture when you eat it. It's accompanied with the marinara sauce, mayonnaise, fries and also salad to compliment the taste. As you can see the chicken provided was big enough, that you can feel full without carbohydrates in it. The taste of the chicken was quite bland if not eaten together with the sauce. But, the marinara tasted too sweet for my friend's palate so she actually just ate it as it was for the chicken.
By choosing this menu, you can receive a beef burger with your own preference for the degree of doneness, topped with egg, and sauced with barbecue sauce. You can also get fries accompanying the burger. And actually for me, the fries tasted really great (maybe because I'm too fond of fries that I made rating for all the fries I've eaten). The burger itself was also tasted nice, with big chunk of savory meat in it, and blended perfectly with the sauce. As it came in quite a big portion, you need to cut it first before eating it.

This menu came out the most late of them all, but tasted the best of 'em all. The plating was so pretty, that I couldn't resist to not capture it. It tasted like cordon bleu, but with a different twist of the taste. It came in bite sizes, so you'll be able to eat it easily. However, the menu size was quite small, so maybe you'll need additional snack to fill out your tummy.

Well actually the first section that I saw in the menu was the dessert part, and I definitely attracted to this chocolate lava cake since the very beginning. Turned out, I didn't regret ordered this lava cake (but I did regret the calories though) as it tasted really really gewd. Every part of it was perfection. The filling dripped thoroughly after you cut it, and they also complemented it with the crunchy crackers *i didn't know what it made from* which made a harmonious taste in your mouth. Definitely one of the best micuit I've ever had.


So after all the great service time (the food came so fast that we barely able to turned on our laptop). those foods tasting, and felt the cozy atmosphere of the cafe, I'll definitely say yes for spending another chill time in this cafe once in a while. You guys should try it out too!
