Today I'm back to share a bit of entertainment for the (not-so) workaholic folks like me, with a cute animation of a new Sanrio mascot character called Aggretsuko. Aggretsuko is actually an abreviation of Aggresive and Retsuko, which is the name of the mascot. Retsuko is shown as a cute red panda who works as a career woman in a company.

In her working life, she's surrounded by a lot of annoying co-workers, and also troublesome superiors. As she is quite an introvert one, mostly she'll keep quite of what she feels. But when the frustrations have reached the peak, she'll change 180 degree of what she usually is, and she will start singing death metal song pent up her anger with her own composed lyric according to the situation, and actually this is the part that i love the most from this animation!

The twisted part of Retsuko's thought is just so cute, funny, and so realistically true, just as what happens in the real life. She normally looks quiet, kind, and helpful, but in reaity she also has her own struggles to restrain her feeling inside so it won't affect her relationship with the co-workers. Retsuko is so relatable to me in some ways, and she always rambles out the way the blabbers that i will also think of, if I were in her position (even if I'm not gonna sing it in heavy metal though 😅). And after all those death-metal-singing, she’ll revert back to her normal state and say her ear-catching catchphrase.

For me, this animation definitely brings laughter and lighten up my day instantly! The animation itself has the series of 100 one-minute anime shorts, so you can definitely steal some time of your busy schedule to watch one or two episode of Aggretsuko. Netflix also has created much longer original story for Retsuko, and I bet it will be equally entertaining with the short episodes! (though I haven't watched it just yet 🙈)
